Q8. A thin composite rim of steel and copper rotates about its axis at a constant speed of 2000 rpm as shown in Fig Q8.
Calculate the circumferential stress induced in both rings. (16)
Note:
Modulus of Elasticity for steel = 200 GN/m2.
Modulus of Elasticity for copper = 100 GN/m2.
Density of steel = 7800 kg/m3.
Density of copper = 8900 kg/m3
