Q1. (a) solve the following complex equation for u and b, where a and b, are real numbers:

a + jb = (9∠(π/3))/(3∠(π/4) × 2∠(- π/2))

(b) The resultant impedance, Z, of TWO circuits of impedances Z1 and Z2, connected in

parallel, is given by the formula:

1/Z = 1/Z1 + 1/Z2

Calculate the resultant impedance, expressing it in polar form, when

Z1 = 3 + j5 and Z2 = 2 - j3.
